Find more information about transportation here. Boston Fish Pier is a short walk from there. Via public transportation, take an MBTA Red Line Train to South Station and transfer to an MBTA Silver Line (SL1) and take that to the World Trade Center. The seventh annual Boston Seafood Festival takes places Sunday, August 5, at Boston Fish Pier, Boston, from 11 am to 6 pm. Unlike some imported hefeweizens, UFO does not have the spicy, tropical flavors typical of European-brewed style. The wheat malts and subtle hopping give the beer a mild, delicate flavor. The foundation will also display efforts by other agencies who support their goals, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries. UFO has a soft mouthfeel and a refreshing, light body. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.Ī portion of all ticket and food sales will support Boston Fisheries Foundation’s mission to preserve and sustain the Atlantic Ocean’s resources. And for those willing to fork out $90, a VIP ticket will get you general admission, a ticket for the all-day lobster bake (which includes one lobster, steamed clams, corn on the cob, and a roll), two drink tickets, and a VIP tote bag. The home brew was not bad at all but seemed a little thin and probably needed a little more hops. The goal was an easy drinking summer beer and I liked that the yeast profile of the UFO is less dominant than a typical German wheat. Lobster Bake tickets are $53 and include the general admission ticket and one lobster bake. A few years ago I brewed a wheat beer using yeast cultured from a bottle of Harpoon UFO. There is plenty of other cuisine for sale. And if you’re not a huge seafood fan, don’t worry. You can even take part in an oyster-shucking competition, aptly named Battle of the Shuckers. Party with us at HarpoonFest (Second best option, right.) Join us on May 19th & 20th to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Harpoon IPA with bands, beer. General admission ($15 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under) includes chef demos, live entertainment, and the ability to purchase food and drink from vendors. Like UFO Hefeweizen and UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, we leave UFO White UnFiltered for a more natural taste and appearance. The 2018 festival promises to be one of the best yet, as the number of vendors grows each year. Brewed with orange peel and a unique blend of spices, UFO White is the perfect choice for a summer’s barbecue, a night out with friends or any time youre thirsting for something a little different. The festival was founded seven years ago by members of Boston’s seafood industry in an effort to promote the historical significance of seafood to New England. Sponsored by the Boston Fisheries Foundation, the festival includes nearly a dozen and a half vendors selling everything from oysters to lobsters, crabs, and more a fish-cutting demonstration that will teach you how to cut fish like a pro a lobster bake and a beer garden (21+ only), courtesy of Harpoon Brewery. If your idea of the perfect summer meal is fresh seafood accompanied by corn on the cob and a cup of clam chowder, you won’t want to miss the seventh annual Boston Seafood Festival taking place Sunday on Boston Fish Pier.
